Happy Birthday, Anthony!

Friday was Anthony's 34th birthday! We celebrated with friends at our favorite Mexican restaurant. The only place that will let us, no, that encourages us to get out of control loud & silly! A great time was had by all.

Seamus goes to a kid's gym called Rock & Roll Kids. He lurves it a lot. I'll try to post video when I can, but here are some pics to see for now.

Yeah, I know it's come & gone. That's how it works here. Something happens then, weeks later, I acknowledge it...

We had a good day. Anthony made some beef & lamb burgers & homemade french fries. Instead of watching fireworks we blew bubbles :) It was a fun day.

So, what have we been up to?

It's been a busy 18 1/2 months to be sure! We wanted to keep everyone updated, but with work & home & taking care of Seamus, Erin hasn't had much time to think about a blog! A lot has happened though & we want to try to keep in touch with everyone as much as possible!

Erin worked for Quest Diagnostics until December 2007. She was also taking a course in Medical Transcription & just couldn't put enough energy into it to complete the course while she was working full time. So, she quit her job to stay home with Seamus & finish her course. She was lucky enough to find a job pretty quickly & now she works for a wonderful transcription company working at home. She loves it & is so glad she decided to do it!

Anthony left the Monte Carlo in March 2007 when they closed the brewery. He went back to work for Tim at Tenaya Creek Brewery as their Head Brewer. He's glad to still be working in the beer business & they are keeping busy. They recently closed the kitchen & just put in a bunch of new video games & dart boards! Now they are focusing on getting their beers into other bars around town. So far you can find them in about 12 places around Vegas, Henderson, & Boulder City. They also serve their beer at the Mt. Charleston Snow & Ski Resort in the winter. Lucky skiers & snowboarders!

Seamus is growing up so fast! He is a happy, silly, super smart boy! If he's in the mood, he'll tell you all of the sounds that animals make & will astound you with his feats of balance & grace as he climbs anything & everything he can. If you're really lucky, you might get a phone call from him when Mom & Dad forget to put the phone up out of reach! He loves to be outside-picking up large rocks & throwing them around the yard is a favorite pastime. He also loves to go for rides in the car. And contrary to how he felt at 3 months, the boy loves water! He'd take 5 baths a day if we'd let him. Let's hope he keeps that spirit up when he's a teenager!




Seamus also goes to the kids' gym every week. His cousin, Dalton, goes there, too. There he gets to climb all he wants & goes down slides like a pro. He's not too interested in the other kids just yet, unless one of them is in his way or has something he wants. The best part of class is the bubbles!
